Basic Ear Training 1.0.21

This application serves as an introductory tool for ear training, offering a practical and accessible approach to developing fundamental auditory skills. It does not require prior knowledge of music notation or theory, making it suitable for users at all levels.

The interface features navigational buttons labeled in blue, which direct users to various lessons:

• Lessons 1 to 5: These modules focus on basic pitch recognition. Users will listen to sequences of three sounds, accompanied by visual animations that illustrate the pitch movements. This segment is designed to aid in distinguishing ascending and descending tones.
• Lessons 6 to 10: Building upon earlier content, these lessons incorporate sounds of varying durations and include silences in some exercises (lessons 8-10). Visual animations depict both pitch and length differences, helping users identify when sounds are higher or lower, longer or shorter, and detect pauses.
• Lessons 11 to 15: These sections aim to familiarize users with common chords used in music. Unlike earlier exercises, some involve hearing individual notes in sequence before presenting them as a chord simultaneously. The chords are represented using the Anglo-Saxon notation system, which users can relate to by matching sonorities with their respective letter and number designations.

The red buttons provide access to quizzes that serve as self-assessment tools:

• Quizzes 1 to 5: Corresponding to the initial lessons, these quizzes require listening to a sequence of three sounds and selecting the correct visual representation from two options.
• Quizzes 6 to 10: These expand on previous quizzes by incorporating additional auditory elements such as pitch direction, duration variations, and silences. Users must identify the correct option among two choices based on what they hear.
• Quizzes 11 to 15: Focused on chord recognition, users listen to chords and select the correct musical notation from multiple representations displayed using the Anglo-Saxon system.
